Angel Felix Zeno, AMS®

As the owner operator of A & A Marine Surveying, LLC I leverage over 35-years of Mechanical Engineering experience when evaluating survey requests. My Engineering background includes an in depth knowledge of Materials of Construction, Electrical Power Distribution and Mechanical Power transmission. After having successfully completed a Marine Survey apprenticeship program I formed A & A Marine Surveying, LLC.

To assure the highest quality of service, I am a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship Y&SC Surveying program and have completed the Damage & Claims Surveying program. I am a member of ABYC and the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI) and the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS).

I am an avid boating enthusiast, and when not responding to a survey request can be found enjoying the many water ways of Michigan.  

In 2018 Angel was appointed to the role of SAMS Great Lakes Regional Director, responsible for the professional development and training of SAMS surveyors in the eight states surrounding the Great Lakes.

In 2021 Angel received and accepted the nomination of the SAMS membership to assume the duties of the SAMS Membership Vice President, responsible for upholding and improving the standards for new and existing members.  

In 2023 Angel accepted the nomination of the SAMS membership to assume the duties of the SAMS Testing Vice President, responsible for overseeing the administration of all AMS upgrade exams for members seeking to achive Accredited Marine Surveyor status.  

Each survey request leverages my knowledge of the ABYC, USCG and NMMA standards that are so critical when evaluating yachts and water craft. But above all, my goal is to address each request with the top most integrity and objectivity.
